Abstract
The purpose of a Public Library is to provide services to all regardless of race, colour, caste, creed, religion, age, sex, nationality, language, status and level of education etc. The functions of a public library are four fold: Education; Information; Entertainment and Preservation . To full fill the first three functions, it is not enough if the library gives general services. They must also provide special services like the mobile services.
