Abstract
Line profile analysis, of X-ray diffraction data collected from samples like metal oxides, polymers, polymer blends and fibers (both man-made and natural), has become a common tool to obtain information of microstructure and lattice defects. Such analysis also have significant effect on the crystal structure of samples. Present review deals with various line profile analysis techniques including latest developments in the field and their application in crystal structure determination , especially in the case of fibers.
