Abstract

The title compound, C21H15ClO, was prepared from biphenyl-4-carbaldehyde and 4-chloro­acetophenone. Single crystals were obtained from acetone. The compound is isostructural with the corresponding Br compound. The mol­ecule deviates significantly from planarity.
