Abstract

Conflict management skills are valued in university library environment as a means of fostering teamwork and collaboration among library professionals. Conflict management strategies may be applicable to resolving conflict. Conflict management among library professionals may be adesirable but elusive goal unless appropriate provisions are made in the university library environment. This paper focus with various types and theories of conflict management. And highlights various methods to solve conflicts among university library staff, to identify how to overcome interpersonal conflict between subordinates. Subsequently, to asses the resolving methods of conflict on personal interest and balancing their home life and to identify how to over come different kinds of conflicting situation and internal differences among staff members in the university libraries. This paper concludes with various recommendations for overcoming/resolving various conflict situations in university libraries.
