Abstract
Cyclic ketohydrazones containing -methylene group are oxidized by chloramine-T followed by treatment with triethylamine leads to the formation of azoalkenes via azochloride, which are trapped by olefinic compounds to produce fused ring pyridazine derivatives in good yield.
