Abstract
2-Aryl-2,3-dihydronaphtho[2,1-b]furo[3,2-b]pyridin-4(1H)-ones 5a-f were synthesized from 2-hydroxy-1-naphthonitrile 2 and characterized on the basis of chemical, analytical and spectral data. The compounds were screened for antibacterial and antifungal activity.
