Abstract

The present study attempts to explore the level of awareness of HIV/AIDS Education among Block Resource Persons (BRP's) of Department of Education at Chandrapur district in Maharashtra. The data was collected from 110 BRPs across 15 blocks of Chandrapur district using HIV/AIDS education awareness scale. The population itself constituted the sample for the study. Awareness of HIV/AIDS education in the context of this paper includes its, basic information, causes & characteristics, spread, preventive measures and treatment. The data was analyzed using percentage analysis, ‘t’ test and One-way ANOVA. Findings of the study indicated that majority of BRPs are aware of HIV/AIDS education and difference was notice between male and female, rural and urban BRPs but not between BRPs with Arts and Science background in the level awareness of HIV/AIDS education.
