Abstract

In the title compound, C\sb 17H\sb 11ClO\sb 2, the benzofuran ring system is almost planar (r.m.s. deviation = 0.011Å) and forms a dihedral angle of 10.53(6)\circ with the chloro\-phenyl ring. No significant inter\-molecular inter\-actions are observed.
