Abstract
Using the well-known electrical resistivity methods (Wenner Configuration) the coastal aquifers of Tambraparni Basin, Tirunelveli district, Tamil Nadu have been analysed by preparing the combined maps of isoresistivity and isopach. the horizons have been classified as salt-water horizon; fresh water horizon with clay as one of the aquifer material and as fresh water horizon. contour maps showing the geochemical concentration Chlorine, Na+ K and EC are also prepared and the quality of the ground water potential zones demarcated by geo-physics have been discussed.
