Abstract

In the cation of the title compound, C\sb 11H\sb 15ClNO\sp +⋅C\sb 4H\sb 3O\sb 4\sp -}}⋅C\sb 4H\sb 4O\sb 4, the dihedral angle between the mean planes of the chlorine-substituted aromatic ring and the 4-hy\-droxy\-piperidinium ring (C—C—C—C—C—N) is 61.9(8)\circ. Intra\-molecular O—-H⋅sO and inter\-molecular O—-H⋅sO and N—-H⋅sO hydrogen bonding, as well as weak π-stacking inter\-actions centroid{--}centroid distance = 3.646(5){\AA} help to establish the packing.
