The present study is an attempt to study the effect of life skills training interventionon emotional empathy among male and female adolescent students.The sampleconsisted of equal number of boys and girls, who measured low on emotionalempathy, were divided into experimental and control groups. The experimentalgroup received life skills training intervention, but the control group was keptunder observation. The intervention was based on life skills training programmedesigned by World Health Organization (WHO) that included 8 training sessionsof 120 minutes duration. The data was collected after two months of interventionby using Multi Dimensional Emotional Empathy Scale (MDEES) by Caruso andMayer (1998), which pertains to assess the level of emotional empathy.The resultsindicated that life skills training has significantly increased emotional empathy ofthe intervened sample than non intervened sample and gender did not havedifferential influence over increasing emotional empathy due to life skills training.
