Abstract

Faster, Sustainable and More Inclusive Growth’ is one of the important objectives of 12th on-going five year plan in India. The basic objective of inclusive growth is to achieve growth with equity and inclusion of each and every section of the society in the process of economic development. Financial inclusion is a major driving force to achieve inclusive growth by providing financial products to all segments of the population. Finance is a key dynamic factor which is very necessary to boost the economy. By extending the financial inclusion facilities to the mass of the population, the economy can attain massive benefits in the long run. The paper intends to study the financial inclusion of sugar cane cultivators in the study area. The study elicited that all sugarcane farmers are linked thru banks suggesting 100 percent financial inclusion of sugarcane farmers in the study area. But study seriously noticed that the usability of such saving accounts was very less due to lack of knowledge regarding to financial products. Moreover, the study observedthat the insurance penetration was moderately covered in the study area. The research study noticed that the study area was not covered properly in case of health and crop insurance and necessary steps need to function to boost insurance penetration.
