Inequality has been an essential part of human history all over the world, but in India -caste, region, religion and gender have been the major mechanism of inequality. Moreover, inequality has been an important character in the Education sector which has often observed distribution of unequal educational opportunities on the basis of mentioned variables, which in turn challenged the inclusive development process. There are strong evidences, describing the discrimination on the basis of caste, religion; region and gender in education system. Therefore, this article on the basis of secondary data tends to describe the major challenges justified by caste religion and gender which function as significant challenges of educational empowerment of marginalized groups.
