Abstract

In the title compound, C\sb 20H\sb 15BrO\sb 2, the prop-2-en-1-one fragment is substanti\-ally twisted C{---}C{---}C{---}O = 23.0(11){$^\circ$}. The dihedral angle between the benzene and naphthalene rings is 44.28(13){$^\circ$}. The only possible directional inter{\-}actions in the crystal are weak C{---}H{$\cdots$}{$\pi$} contacts, which generate (001) sheets.
