Abstract

A sensitive, spectrophotometric technique for estn. of thorium based on the redn. product of a presumed thorium molybdoarsenic acid heteropoly complex, has been developed and applied to estn. of thorium in monazite sand. Beer's law was obeyed for 0.5-10 ppm Th. The Sandell sensitivity was 0.009 μg/cm2. [on SciFinder(R)]
