Abstract
The new compounds (6aR, 11bS)-3-fluoro-6,6a-dihydro-5H-benzo (c) fluorine-5,7 (11, bH)- dione and (6aR, 11bS)-3-fluoro-9-methoxy-6,6a-dihydro-5H-benzo (c) fluorine- 5,7 (11bH)- dione were synthesized in good yields. They are analogues of naturally occurring lignan podophyllotoxin which exhibits antimitotic activity. © 2018 Indian Journal of Heterocyclic Chemistry.
