Abstract

Y(OH)CO3 single crystals, an orthorhombic carbonate phase isostructural with the natural mineral ancylite, were grown hydrothermally, at relatively low pressures and temps., using strong formic acid as a mineralizer. The x-ray powder data is completely indexed. The IR data and DTA curve is also given. [on SciFinder(R)]
