Abstract

This study aims to ascertain the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) literacy among the library staffs in professional college libraries in Southern Karnataka. The study mainly focused on the types of ICT skills possessed, familiarity with ICT based Software, use of Internet, use of Computers for library operations and services, implemen- tation of Barcode technology in the library, awareness about Networ- king Technology and ICT Based library services, level of awareness towards ICT based applications and future plans of the library towards ICT applications.
