Abstract

This paper is focused on members of faculty of Selected Polytechnic Colleges in Mysore City. For the collection of data structured questionnaire was prepared based on ACRL standard and random survey method was used. All the respondents 100.00% are in need of information. 74.48% faculty members can select the most appropriate search strategy to retrieve information. 77.55% faculty members can able to identify the correct keywords of a given topic. About 83.67% faculty members are aware of copy rights while accessing information. The output of the study shows that there is a need for the training programme on Information literacy skills of the faculty members of polytechnic colleges in mysore city.
