Abstract

This paper focus on users satisfaction about library collection Vs demographic variables of the users of Mysore region engineering college libraries (MRECL) in Karnataka. The sample is faculty members of Mysore region engineering college libraries. A total of 1000 questionnaires were distributed to all the faculty members of these colleges. A sum of 760 responses was received. The objective of the study therefore is to assess the relationship between the four demogra- phic variables such as gender, age, educa- tional qualifications and designation with that users satisfac- tion about library collection by way of cross tabulating the values given by the user are shown in different tables. It may be seen from the table that, there is a significant difference (X2=274.645; P<.000) in case the satisfaction of ‘National print journals’. Many respondents scoring, 323(42.5%) says satisfied.
