Abstract

Globally working women face similar problems though there has been a paradigm shift in the acceptance of women working outside their homes mainly due to the economic needs even in the most conservative societies. The societies have accepted women in all fields and the stereotype is slowly fading with regard to the fields in which they are accepted. But this is not giving women the equality they deserve and here is a stress due to conflicts that arise due to lack of balance in the work-family life. Women are unable to progress in their career due to a number of barriers they face both at home and at work. This paper will discuss the contemporary issues that affect working women globally.
