Abstract
Premenstrual Syndrome is a complex of physical and pscycological problem suffered by women of reproductive age. The incidence of this is increasing in recent decades due to several problems and requires an necessity cure. The synthetic medicine used in present days to reduce the problem of Premenstrual Syndrome results in side effects. Herbal medicines are used since ancient time to cure this problem along with other related gynecological problems. The present review provides the knowledge of Premenstrual Syndrome their cause, types, symptoms, diagnosis and the necessity of botanicals,their compound isolated and their mode of action to treat Premenstrual Syndrome. Thus mark an importance and use of medicinal plants to cure the problem regularly faced by female population.
