Abstract

The title compound, C18H13BrO2S, is chiral due to the twist of the naphthalene and thienyl rings about the chalcone backbone [dihedral angle = 17.75 (10)°]. There are weak C—H⋯O inter­actions which link the mol­ecules into chains in the b direction.
