Abstract

In this paper we introduce the concept of maximum degree matrix M(G) of a simple graph G and obtain a bound for eigenvalues of M(G). We also introduce maximum degree energy EM(G) of a graph G and obtain bounds for EM(G). We prove that the maximum degree energies of certain classes of graphs are less than EM(Kn). It is also shown that if the maximum degree energy of a graph is rational then it must be an even integer.ents.
