Abstract

The title compound, Csb 10Hsb 8Nsb 2Osb 4S, serves as a starting material for the synthesis of antihyperglycemic pharmaceuticals. The nearly planar thia-zolidine-2,4-dione ring is almost perpendic-ular to the nitro-phenyl ring.
