The present study evaluates the information resources (print and electronic) used by mental health and neuroscience professionals in Karnataka state. Health management assumes a great significance in the present times since health is one of the prime indicators of human development. The presence of educated, healthy, resourceful and competent citizenry is a must in this age of competitiveness. User is the supreme leader of any kind of information system. The benefits of information revolution are centered on the user and his convenience. User studies are duly recognized as an important part of the information package. In this article the authors have identified the extent of awareness of print resources like books, journals, MeSh, Index Medicus by mental health and neuroscience professionals. The authors have also identified the extent of awareness of e-resources like e-books, e-journals, e-bibliographical databases and Medline CD-ROM, by mental health and neuroscience professionals. The views regarding status of mental health and neuroscience information services as expressed by the health and neuroscience professionals.
