Abstract

The crystal structure of the title benzofuran derivative, C\sb 16H\sb 23NO\sb 3, has been elucidated. The tricyclic core, \it i.e. the tetra\-hydro\-benzo—dihydro\-furo—pyrrolidine ring system, is non-planar owing to the folding of the five-membered rings at their \it cis junction. The cyclo\-hexene ring assumes a half-chair conformation, while the dihydro\-furan and pyrrolidine rings each adopt an envelope conformation. Intra\-molecular C—-H⋅sO hydrogen bonds form \it S(6) closed patterns.
