Abstract

In the structure of a mixed crystal, C\sb 17H\sb 17BrO\sb 2S⋅C\sb 17H\sb 16OS, containing chalcone and 2-bromo-3-hydroxy-1-(4-methyl\-phenyl)-3-4-(methyl{\-}sulfanyl){\-}phenyl{\-}propan-1-one, the two mol{\-}ecules are linked by a strong hydrogen bond between the alcohol H atom of 2-bromo-3-hydroxy-1-(4-methyl{\-}phenyl)-3-4-(methyl{\-}sulfanyl){\-}phenyl{\-}propan-1-one and the ketone group of chalcone.
