Abstract

The structure of the title compound, 2-(3-chlorophenyl), 3,5-diphenylisoxazolidine (C21H18NOCl) (1) has been investigated by X-ray crystallography. Compound (1) crystallizes in orthorhombic space group P2(1)2(1)2(1) with cell parameters a=10.288(17) Angstrom, b=37.98(3) Angstrom, c=8.809(9) Angstrom, Z=8. Compound (1) has both intra- and intermolecular hydrogen bonds.
