Abstract

The in-situ fabrication of Nd:YVO4 single crystals was carried out using milder aqueous or soft hydrothermal solutions. The influence of pH and mineralizers (HCl and HNO3) ratios in the formation of Nd:YVO4 has been studied. A systematic investigation on the morphology control and the role of pH in the formation of different crystals faces and the size of Nd:YVO4 crystals has been carried out.
