Abstract

The title compound, C(19)H(20)O(4), was synthesized via a Fries rearrangement of hydroxy benzophenone. The dihedral angle between the least-squares planes of the two benzene rings is 69.04 (11)degrees. The molecular structure displays an intramolecular non-classical C-H center dot center dot center dot O hydrogen bond.
