This paper analyzes the research contributions of South Indian LIS teachers published in various national and international journals, conference proceedings and books. The study quantified the research contributions made by the LIS teachers of South Indian LIS schools since 1950s. Scholorometer a browser extension, which facilitates citation analysis and helps evaluate the impact of an author's research publications, was used for obtaining the data. The study identifies most productive universities in South India, most productive author in South Indian LIS schools as well as major research areas in which LIS teachers have published most of their papers. The study also measures the impact of South Indian LIS teachers through highly cited papers and their h-index.
