Abstract

This research paper examines the association between work culture and employee loyalty in the Information technology industry in India. Based on the review of literature on concepts, theories and empirical findings related to work culture and loyalty, a structured questionnaire was developed and utilized as a part of this exploratory survey. A total of 150 full-time software professionals was sampled from eight different companies in the Tier I and Tier II urban areas in India, Bangalore and Mysore. The results of the study demonstrate that work culture has a significant impact on employee loyalty. The findings contribute to the understanding of employee loyalty and will assist the key decision makers of the organization to incite inspiration among the employees by building a culture that motivates employees to remain committed and loyal to the organizations.
