Abstract

In the title compound, C\sb 15H\sb 10Br\sb 2F\sb 2O, the dihedral angle between the two 3-fluoro-substituted benzene rings is 5.7(5)\circ. The two bromine substituents on the chalcone moiety are close to \it anti as the Br—-C—-C—-Br torsion angle is 176.9(7)\circ. Weak C—-Br⋅sπ inter\-actions may contribute to the crystal stability.
