Abstract
In the title chalcone derivative, C\sb 15H\sb 9Cl\sb 2FO, the dihedral angle between the aromatic rings is 19.13(15)\circ and the double bond adopts an \it E conformation. In the crystal, mol\-ecules are connected by weak C—-H⋅sO hydrogen bonds, forming a chain propagating along the 001 direction.
