An empirical study based on Tibetan women refugees who have taken shelter in Karnataka and have made their living out of entrepreneurial activities is the main focus of this study. Tibetan refugees were forced to leave their country when China occupied Tibet during 1959. It is very hard for any refugee group to get settled in an alien place and to get adjusted with an entirely new set of people and norms. It is inevitable for the migrant refugees and has to adopt new things also make their life comfortable, like the old saying 'when in Rome, do as the Roman, do'. At the same time even they need to make themselves acceptable to the host country where they were allowed to dwell. As the refugees were forced to leave their country and also their belongings; both movable and immovable properties – In India, they started everything from the scratch. It is very natural that any refugee group would take a long time to get integrated in the socio-economic environment of the host country and by then they would have lost their identity as refugees. Furthermore, there is a need for the host country and the refugee population to live in harmony forming an integrated society. Amidst all these challenges it was found that the Tibetan women started making a living by creating job opportunities for themselves being self employed, getting engaged in more than one entrepreneurial activities which could up- hold their rich Tibetan culture giving due regards to the Indian customers. Initially, for the Tibetan women entrepreneurs it was the question of survival, but gradually they had few motivational factors and desire to continue in entrepreneurial activities. Surviving and sustaining in a new environment was all possible by establishing a win - win strategy by adopting cultural fusion and respecting others culture, beliefs and values. Success of Tibetan women entrepreneurs is possible because they believe in today and plan for tomorrow with a hope of finding a better future.
