Abstract

The title compound, C11H11ClO7, crystallizes in the monoclinic crystal system and space group P2(1)/n with cell parameters a = 6.8920(4)angstrom, b = 18.5260(15)angstrom, c = 9.9480(8)angstrom, beta = 106.420(5)degrees, V = 1218.37(16)angstrom(3) for Z = 4. The structure exhibits both intra and inter-molecular hydrogen bonds of the type O-H horizontal ellipsis O and C-H horizontal ellipsis O.
