Abstract

In the title compound, C11H12O2, the six-membered ketone ring fused to the 7-methoxy benzene ring adopts a slightly distorted envelope configuration with the central methylene C atom being the flap. The crystal packing is stabilized by weak intermolecular C-H center dot center dot center dot O and C-H center dot center dot center dot pi interactions, which lead to supramolecular layers in the bc plane.
