Abstract
There is a paradigm shift from traditional organisations focusing on need based training to modern learning organisations focusing on continuous development. Recent research has emphasised the need for management development which highlights the systematic process of growth & development by which managers develop abilities to manage. The paper emphasizes the role of management development in learning organisation which creates opportunities for its present & potential managers. Management Development aims to bring new ideas, debate issues, introduce innovative methods and offer practical case studies to managers worldwide.
