Abstract

By a single-step ion exchange/mol. sieving on CM-Sephadex C-25, Russel's viper venom was sepd. into 12 components by colorimetric and fluorimetric screening. The 2 sets of measurements gave similar elution profiles and the total recovery from the column was 86%. Therefore, this type of screening is highly suitable for studying trace amts. of protein fractions. [on SciFinder(R)]
