Abstract

The coincidence method for the measurement of K-shell photoionization cross sections for photon energies >500 keV was used at a lower photon energy to check the accuracy of the method in comparison with the other methods described in the literature. K-Shell photoionization cross sections in Sn, Au, Pb, and Th targets for 51Cr γ rays were measured. The results were compared with other measurements and with theor. data. Good agreement was obsd. between the theor. cross sections and the present exptl. ones. [on SciFinder(R)]
